Our land, our people, our history captured in 100 objects

Five museums across Central Otago have each selected 20 objects that tell the fascinating stories of a land rich in history. Together, these one hundred objects form a museums trail of discovery.

From a century-old wedding cake, a phone set used on the same line as New Zealand’s first telephone call, to Chinese medicine books and an exquisite green glass collection - the 100 Objects exhibition will have something to delight all visitors.

This launch will celebrate the meticulous research undertaken by museum staff and volunteers in curating this exhibition. A  selection from the 100 objects will be on display for you to enjoy.
